Medical Disclaimer
DiabFit is a risk screening tool. It is not a medical diagnosis, and it does not replace consultation with a qualified doctor.
What DiabFit is
DiabFit uses the WHO FINDRISC (Finnish Diabetes Risk Score) questionnaire, adapted and aligned with ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) and IDF (International Diabetes Federation) guidelines for South Asian populations. It estimates your statistical risk of prediabetes based on self-reported answers about your body measurements, lifestyle, and medical history.
What DiabFit is NOT
- It is not a diagnostic test. Only a blood test (HbA1c or fasting plasma glucose) ordered by a doctor can diagnose prediabetes or diabetes.
- The Body Age Estimate is a statistical model based on lifestyle factors — it is not a clinical measurement of biological age.
- The Productivity Score is an estimate based on sleep, stress, and activity patterns — not a cognitive or medical assessment.
- The Activity & Body Gap Reduction Plan is general wellness guidance, not a personalised medical treatment plan.
What to do with a "moderate" or "high" risk result
If DiabFit indicates moderate or high risk, we strongly recommend booking an HbA1c or fasting glucose blood test and consulting a doctor. Early detection of actual prediabetes allows for lifestyle intervention that can often fully reverse the condition before it progresses to Type 2 diabetes.
Accuracy
The FINDRISC questionnaire is a validated screening tool used internationally, but its accuracy depends on the honesty and precision of your self-reported answers. It should be treated as an indicator, not a certainty.
